Everett Ruess Found?
Has the mystery been solved? Although I have my doubts as to this story and the whereabouts of Ruess-the ultimate Wilderness Vagabond. It does seem possible. I can't wait to read the full story.
Just read the whole story. There are some convincing parts, but the fact that they did not wait to get the DNA testing results back before publishing was a little wierd.
I suppose this is a coincidence - yet, I have owned the wildernessvagabond.com address for about eight years. I also have a (similar) photo of Impassable Canyon in the MF Salmon (see report).
Here is the MF Salmon report (from 2007, apparently long preceding this blog), followed by the WV web address.
"I prefer the saddle to the streetcar and star-sprinkled sky to a roof, the obscure and difficult trail, leading into the unknown, to any paved highway, and the deep peace of the wild to the discontent bread by cities. . . it is enough that i am surrounded by beauty." — Everett Ruess

Is this infringement or just crowding too close in this spacious land that fostered wanderers like Everett Ruess?
